"Today" show star Dylan Dreyer has revealed that she feels "guilty" about having a nanny watch her children, as she admitted she can't do it all.
During her podcast, "The Parent Chat," in which Dreyer and her guest, Erin Andrews, spoke about the difficulties of balancing motherhood with a successful career, Dreyer admitted that she was "embarrassed" at times to have a nanny.
In the episode, the women spoke about their experiences having a nanny help with childcare.
"I read an article where you were quoted in it. [You] were saying it’s almost embarrassing, sometimes, to admit that you have a nanny, and it’s wild because my oldest—we’ve had our nanny since he was three months old. Because I do work full-time," Dreyer said.
Dreyer revealed that her need for a nanny comes from the fact that she doesn't have many family members nearby.

“My parents don’t live close. My mom’s in Florida. My brother’s in Oregon. My other brother’s in Florida. My in-laws are up in Boston. It used to be where you lived in a community. You lived in a neighborhood where your family was close by, and you had people that could watch your kids for you.”
She continued, “Trust me, I would love to not have to pay somebody to help me watch my kids. But at the same time, I couldn’t have the career I have, and I love my job. I’ve been doing it, like, half my life, I’ve been doing this job.”
Andrews, "And you should. You should be able to. I want my kids to see me working hard and making the sacrifices, yet cooking dinner or doing what I can at home. But I do think there’s nothing wrong with having a village to help you get it done.”
Dreyer shares sons Calvin, 9, Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3, with ex, Brian Fichera. The couple is in the process of a divorce.
Andrews, who works as a sportscaster for Fox Sports, then revealed that it was difficult for her to return to work after she and her spouse, Jarret Stoll, welcomed their son, Mack.
“I was obviously being asked about having a baby and, ‘How do you do it and keep it all together?’ I’m like, ‘I’m not,'” she said. “And Nanny Connie had said to me, ‘It’s okay to admit you have help because it’s worse to paint this picture for people, like, ‘I’m doing it all.’ I can’t do it all. There’s no way.”
Dreyer then explained that it's important for her fans to know that they need help because it sets "unrealistic expectations for the mom who’s sitting there struggling.”
The 44-year-old TV personality revealed in November that she had followed in the footsteps of fellow on-air hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager by quitting city life in favor of the suburbs.

In December, she took to Instagram to reveal a glimpse inside her family's first festive celebration in their new home.
In a series of photos shared on social media, Dreyer wished her fans a "Happy New Year" as she showed off how she spent her holiday with her loved ones—including a snap of her son lying in a hospital bed.
"A little taste of the holiday ... and a little touch of the flu! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and wishing you a Happy New Year," she captioned the images.
Her glimpse into her holidays came after she took to Instagram to showcase her family's tree, which was situated in front of large French doors that open to the patio area.
The holiday reveal came after Dreyer broke her silence on her breakup for the first time on Nov. 5, when she appeared as a co-host on "Today With Jenna & Friends."
She went on to share some insight into how her relationship with her former spouse has evolved since they decided to end their marriage, insisting that they still have a very close bond.
"Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce. That’s another story with a lot of wine and that’s a whole different thing, but either way, we’ve gotten to this place,” she shared.
“And there’s something freeing, I think, for Brian and I where—whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage—you could either fix it if you can and ideally you would and you try, and you try to fix things. Or you accept that it’s broken and you take this new step forward."
The host previously teased their move on her Instagram by sharing images of her children posing for their first day of school outside of their suburban house, which is surrounded by lush greenery, and one image of the family having dinner while moving boxes sat near them.
The news of her move came just over a month after she managed to secure a buyer for her longtime New York City home—days after she and Fichera slashed a half-million dollars from their asking price.

Dreyer and Fichera originally listed their marital abode, where they were raising their three sons, in November 2024 with an asking price of $2.49 million.
At the time, the couple did not comment on why they had made the decision to part ways with the property. However, Dreyer had previously said that they were starting to outgrow the space, leading some to believe that they were hoping to move into a bigger place.
Dreyer then stunned fans at the start of July when she announced that she and Fichera were going their separate ways after 13 years of marriage, revealing the news in an emotional statement shared on her Instagram account.
Interestingly, just a few days after announcing their split, they removed the listing for their two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit—before putting it back on the market at the reduced price of $1.99 million.
Dreyer and Fichera purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in June 2016, according to property records, just a few months before they welcomed Calvin.
She and Fichera also own a stunning beach house in Point Lookout, NY, which they purchased in 2021 for $2.5 million.
