HGTV Star Jenny Marrs Welcomes New Members to Her Family After ‘Really Hard’ Year With ‘So Much Loss’

Marrs has shared her hope that the newest additions to her family help to bring some "joy" to their farm after a tough 2025....

HGTV star Jenny Marrs has revealed that she and her family have welcomed some new addition to their farm, months after the reality TV sensation admitted that they had been going through a "really, really hard" year.

In a heartwarming post on Instagram, Marrs, 47, who has found fame in a wide range of HGTV hits, including "Fixer to Fabulous," shared her hope that the newest members of her brood bring some "joy" to their family farm after what has been a tumultuous few months.

She then introduced the new additions to her flock: two lambs and a group of baby chicks.

The chicks were the first to arrive on the family's Arkansas farm, with Marrs revealing that she and her husband, Dave Marrs, welcomed the fluffy additions on March 11.

"New babies arrived at the farm today! Dave has been building the new chicken coop in preparation for their arrival for weeks," she wrote while sharing a video fo the chicks.

"It’s not quite finished and I can honestly say that I have never seen him work so hard on any other project for our animals. Dave loves his chickens and he’s basically building the Taj Mahal of coops out back. Stay tuned for the big coop unveiling. It’s going to be adorable and, even though I don’t love full-grown chickens, these baby chicks are cute!"

But the fun didn't stop there, with Marrs revealing just days later that the family had also taken in two lambs from a local neighbor, Mr. Tommy, who sought their help in caring for the young animals.

“When our neighbor, Mr. Tommy, called to let me know he has two bottle lambs in need of care, I didn’t hesitate to say yes," Marrs revealed while sharing a photo of the lambs.

"Now, they’ve taken up residence in the newly constructed chicken coop (the chicks are still too little to move out here so this is a perfect spot)."

She continued, “I’m daring to hope that these two will bring joy to our farm after so much loss. We didn’t have a lambing season this year (for the first time in ten years) because we lost BaaBaa and her babies. And, you may remember that two years ago, I fell hard for my bottle-baby, Tommy, and we lost him to illness.”

The HGTV icon ended her post by revealing that she hopes the animals will help bring her family "joy," despite the "distinct possibility of sorrow."

She continued, “I prayed over these two as I drove them up the street to our home: May they stay safe and healthy and, most of all, thank you, Lord for new life, new mercies and fresh reminders that our hope is in you alone (Psalm 39:7)!"

Marrs then shared several images of the lambs and chicks in her lap.

The news of her additions comes after she opened up about the heartbreaking challenges that her family had to endure in 2025—while sharing her "prayers" for a happier, healthier year for all of her loved ones.

Just before the clock struck 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Eve, the 46-year-old "Fixer to Fabulous" star took to Instagram to reveal her hopes for 2026, admitting that she was busy "recording prayers" for the new year, a ritual that she does every year, instead of setting specific resolutions.

“As I’ve shared before, rather than New Year’s resolutions, which are based on my own willpower and grit, I record specific prayers for the coming year," the mother of five wrote.

"I’ve found that as I pray the prayers throughout the year, they redirect my heart, attitude, and actions to the One who authors my story in ways I could never begin to hope or imagine on my own. I just have a slightly different view this year!"

Marrs then went on to point to the many hardships that she and her family faced during 2025, describing it as a "really, really hard year," while paying tribute to the many loved ones that they lost.

The husband-and-wife team has remodeled the living quarters on several occasions: Once before moving in to the residence in 2014 and twice since that time to evolve the space alongside their family.

“More than anything, we have adjusted our house as we've needed to for the stages of our kids' lives and our lives, and it's always a work in progress,” Marrs revealed.

“It’s an old home and it's warm and it's cozy and it's real. Life is lived there; It's not a museum."

Marrs revealed that the renovations were carried out largely after the family realized that they had stumbled across their forever home, having initially purchased it as more of a project, rather than a permanent dwelling.

"When we first moved to the house, we actually weren't planning on moving into it. We renovated it with, like, materials that we had left over and we didn't know what we were going to do with it," she said.

"We just knew we didn't want the house to be torn down, but it wasn't meant for our family necessarily.

"We also only had two kids at the time. So we grew and grew and then when I was pregnant with Luke, we're like, 'We have to redo this again.'"

In addition to managing a full household and working farm, the Marrses run their eponymous renovation business and two retail stores while filming their Emmy-nominated series.

They’ve also starred in several spinoffs of the show, such as “Fixer to Fabulous: Welcome Inn” and “Fixer to Fabulous: Italiano,” along with other network reality TV productions, including “Rock the Block” and “Home Town Takeover.”
