Michael Pezzetta will play his third game in a Toronto Maple Leafs sweater.
The 27-year-old forward has been recalled from Toronto’s AHL team, the Marlies, to play against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night, the team announced.
Pezzetta, a Toronto native, got into two games with the Maple Leafs — against the Ducks on March 12 and the Sabres on March 14 — and tallied nine penalty minutes, including a fight.
The left winger has 15 goals and 23 assists over 202 career games. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2016 draft by the Montreal Canadiens.
